All for a packet of chips

Well lesson learnt, don't leave a packet of salt and vinger chips on the back seat of your car in my neighbourhood - well not unless you want to have your back driver side's window totally smashed in and your windscreen so cracked and shattered that the only way you'd be able to see while driving is to punch out the rest of the windscreen.

Lucky us. This is what we got to start our day with. Granted the horrors of the day could have been a lot worse, there could have been more then a packet of smiths salt and vinger chips and a pre-paid mobile phone stolen, there could have been a lot more then just a window and a windscreen missing. They could have actually been smart criminals and looked in the ashtray or boot. The whole car could have been stolen/torched/trashed. So yes we are lucky.

But ya know, we so could have done with out it too.

There was so many nice people, my housemate who had gone out on his bike back in a few seconds later to tell us the car had been broken into. My landlady [who lives three doors up] who rang me to tell me the bad news, the guy next door who asked when he saw Stacy walking up the path "Is that your car out there? Umm I think you might want to know it's been broken into" with a lot of concern. Or my other housemate who knocked on my bedroom door to tell us about it, she was worried that we had been in my room all morning and didn't know... To the guy who lived up the road who walked down with his daughter on his hip to tell us that he had heard the crashing sounds at 2 am that morning and looked out to see a bunch of kids running off down the street and apologised profusely for not being able to identify them or not being able to do anything...

Poor Stacy, now he has to fork out $$ to get his car fixed and was already trying to pay things off. Sucks big time. But yes. We are lucky.

to the little shits who trashed my boyfriends car for a packet of chips, I hope you aren't lucky.

Oh no! That is ridiculous! What is wrong with people! Why do you go around dis-respecting and trashing other peoples posessions? Have you no life? Have you no dreams? No goals?
Ugh.. sorry but this makes me so very angry!
So sorry you had that happen to you, Peta! I know it could have been worse, but I know ho violated you feel after such an incident. I hope the chips gave those delinquents acute stomach problems!
Ah... I'm menstruating. Usually I am very nice.. :)
Hugs to you and Stacy!

So sorry to hear this Peta. It's pathetic what some people will do for no real reason.
