There is a great new thing out for those amoungst us digi blogers - a great little list to of digi blogs from all walks of life... [not just the designers]
I've joined up and I see a few people I know have too.
But there is something that has me feeling very unhappy already - very sad.
I know people are going to see this is a compertition to get the most views, the most "rateing's", most comments etc etc to try and get to the TOP of the ladder.
You can see it starting already!! *sigh* peopel will be coming up with ways to get more people to check out their blog doing lots more self promotion and tying to 'win' votes - to get good rateings etc etc..... Why does it always have to be about how well WE do? - Why can't how well we do be measured by how well we encourage others to suport each other?
So - My plea to you all is this - Go check it out - Go click on someones blog you may never have read before and when you are done why not go back and give them a little rateing with a nice little comment. I would rather you do that then comment on mine!
hell you can ever give me two stars - I am not worried bout it. I just hope that by being on the list that I can share my journey and love for digi with other like minded people.

Well I haven't looked at it, but I too can see that this is going to become awfully competitive and bitchy both of which are really uncalled for!

it doesn't matter they are more popular than we.. I'll be reading your blog everyday girl. I think this is my 1st time coming here, but you have lots of interesting stories that I could read.. and of course i love your layouts cause they are giving me lots of ideas dear..

Well, how about we have a contest of "least popular" ha ha lol-I would win hands down :) But hey-as long as we love what we do-isn't that what I always teach my kids???!!!
Well said! I joined yesterday and don't really care about the ratings. I just like to know that people actually visit my blog! :) I wish visitors would comment more though.
I just followed a post from Amanda's blog.. so so true. Like I said there, people need to realize its far more important to build friendships (new or old ;) ) than to try to out do everyone else. I've loved looking at other sites. Beautiful.

Peta, I totally agree with you, Im hoping that more people can just use the list as a tool to find more scrappin addicts like us, not as a competition thing. Kudos to you for speaking your piece!

Well said, Peta. I completely agree with you. It's already turning into a popularity contest (in my eyes) with all the freebies that are being given away....that said, I've been playing with designing for the past few months and have never posted anything for free, so maybe people are just really "getting into" designing these days, but 2peas is horrible about these posts now! Anyway, I digress...I do think this site is awesome as a resource to find new blogs and I hope the popularity contest doesn't get too out of hand! :) Hope you're having a great day!!
Well, I'm a sad case. I joined. At least I won't be giving away any freebies though lol.... But it's a great way to find your way to the blogs that you might not find otherwise :)

2 thoughts (for what it's worth)
first off, I love having a list of digibloggers I can cruise through (never did get the hang of blog-rings). I am so guilty of not commenting (hangs head in shame).
second, blog freebies are a way to get stuff out there, for new designers to introduce themselves, for old ones to reward their loyal readers. I don't have a web-site, but I wanna share what I create, so I use a blog to do that. And 2Peas is all about self-promotion (until the powers-that-be pull the threads LOL), and I'm guilty as charged.
and third (nope, can't count, just thought of this one too LOL) it can be a pissing contest or not, I choose not (for me LOL)
