Exhausted

Omg I'm so tired!! But you know what I can't go crash and have a nana nap!!!
Someone decided while she let her new computer install windows etc she might tackle all that scrap crap she's been meaning to go through and omg - clean up her room finally [after months of putting it off and adding to the general mess, as I said to my Dad when he dropped me off this afternoon with my new computer when in the last 27 years has my room ever been clean - but I'm not a 'dirty' messy just a messy messy.. IYKWIM] So bed is covered in crap, scrap stuff is half sorted [being hard and throwing out things I will never use - well putting in the 'give away' pile at least ROFL]. The worst thing is now my new computer is finished booting up, installing, reformating, installing and everything else... I'm now faced with a dilemma. Finish cleaning room or sit here and put back everything onto my new computer ....

have you sensed something yet??? A little bit of information that I'm dancing around? Five points for all those who have picked up that I'VE GOT A NEW COMPUTER!!! - well a new tower really.

The mother board was stuffed. After a full day Friday and Saturday pulling all the 'old' computers apart trying to get one to be fully operational [we pulled open five computers in the end to test parts to make sure if it was the part not working or the computer etc etc - and in the end, ended up with three dead computers that will be pulled apart...] So with nothing really left for it, we figured we'd go buy a new board and chip - get to the ONLY computer shop open in town on a Sunday - starting looking at the prices and realise that we'd have to get new memory also as the old stuff wouldn't fit the new board - and then what if we stuff it up?? So .. for a few $$ more... we got them to do it for us ;) and got a new Hard Drive and CD drive in the bargain!

Can I just say my new computer ROCKS.
Stats: [for the geeks out there]
Sempron 2800+ CPU S754
80GB IDE HDD
512MD Ram
CD- Writer
3D Graphic Accelerator
6-Ch Sound
6 x USB II Ports

AND a 12 month warranty of course and because I knew that opening the system and putting in extra bits would void the warranty we got them to install my DVD Burner and EXTRA 80 hard drive...

So all up I now have 160G to play with - how ever will I fill all that ROFL ;)

So I'm tired - have lots of work to do computer and cleaning room wise and ... Someone FORGOT to pack her mouse to bring back home!!! So lucky I have my tablet and can use that as a mouse ;)

Now enough procrastinating - back to work.

Woohooo Congrats on the arrival of your new baby!!

I SO know what you mean about having computer guts all over the table... that sounds like an average weekend around here. Luckily he bought an old box to use as a MEDIA SERVER of all things, so he leaves my puter alone most of the time ROFL....

oh a new computer! wow you are sooooo lucky! And I had a good giggle over the 'messy mess'... in 33 (almost) years of my life I am sure the only time my room was ever tidy was before I could walk!
